The State of California offers many CALIFORNIA VETERANS BENEFITS, in addition to benefits offered by the U.S. Veterans Administration:

  • Veterans Homes of California provide low cost residential,, assisted living and medical care facilities in Yountville, Barstow, Chula Vista, Lancaster, Ventura and West Los Angeles.
  • California Veterans Cemeteries are eligible for no cost burials at California Veterans Cemeteries located in Igo and Riverside.
  • Property Tax Exemptions for California Veterans are allowed property tax exemptions on the assessed value of a home up to $111,296 if the total household income from all sources is over $49,979 annually.
  • Motor Vehicle Registration Fees Waived for California Veterans who are disabled are entitled to waiver of registration fees and free license plates for one passenger motor vehicle, or one motorcycle.
  • Fishing and Hunting Licenses for all California Veterans with a 50% or greater service-connected disability is entitled to reduced annual fees.
